Mickey Smith (b. Duluth, Minnesota, 1972) is a conceptual artist and photographer. Her practice has been engaged with a longstanding inquiry into libraries, books and archives and in particular the social significance of their physical existence or disappearance.

Smith received a BA in Photography from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 1994. She has exhibited throughout the United States, in China, Russia and New Zealand. Mickey’s work is held in numerous public and private collections, including the Weisman Art Museum, Sheldon Museum of Art and Museum of Modern Art Library.
